Donnie Ray Taylor, passed away 11/12/2011. He suffered from a long illness & was thought to be improving daily at Solara Hospital in Conroe. Don transferred to the Courtyards Nursing Home in Pasadena, TX, with great optimism. Regrettably, he became quite ill after 3 days & lost his battle. Don was a caring man with a giving heart & will be dearly missed. Born 9/10/38 in Boles, AR, Don attended Waldron High School, graduating in 1955, He then moved to the Houston area where he spent many years. Don worked as construction manager for Gardner Engineering & for Burgess Construction Company in Phoenix & Anchorage. enjoying friends throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Alaska. Striking out on his own in 1983, he ventured into the heavy equipment business in Houston until retiring to Willis, TX, in 1995.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann, & her daughters, Tamara Sampson (Alan) & Traci Bolan (John), his daughters Debbie Schoolcraft (David), Lisa Balmer (Steve), & families. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Services were held at the Pasadena Grand View Funeral Home on November 16.
