Donald Lee Johnson, 60, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 in his residence. He was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, played on the Calallen High School football team and later studied Air Conditioning Technology at Del Mar College. In 1991 he moved to Humble, and finally Conroe in 1994, where he worked for Houston North Air Conditioning for twenty-five years, eventually becoming Vice President of the company. An active outdoorsman all his life, one of his fondest memories was camping in Canada on a Boy Scout trip with his father. Additionally, he enjoyed watching sports, fishing, boating, jet-skiing, and wakeboarding. He lived for spending time with his family at "The Land", a special piece of property on Lake Sam Rayburn in East Texas, where he was also President of Eagles View Landowners Association.

Known as "Sonny" to family and friends, survivors of this loving father include his beautiful bride of twenty-six years, Donna Johnson of Conroe; his sons, Jason Michael Hennings and wife, Heather of Broomfield, Colorado and Donald Lee Johnson, Jr and wife, Diana of Torrance, California; his daughters, Courtney Nicole Moore of Conroe, and Lindsey Brooke Inman and husband, Ron of Spring; his Mother, Margaret Myrtle Johnson of Sulphur, Louisiana; his brother David Allen Johnson, and wife, Sandra of Fair Oaks Ranch; his mother-in-law Alma Smith; and eight grandchildren, who called him "Granddude", including Alvin, Riley, Taylor, Ilese, Aaliyah, Tripp, Orion and Ursula. He is preceded in death by his father, Davey Lee Johnson; brother, Daryl Lynn Johnson; and son-in-law Alvin Moore.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Cashner Funeral Home, with Mr. Ronnie Inman officiating. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at . Memorial donations may be made to .
