Donald Ray Dalrymple of The Woodlands, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 with his family by his side after a lengthy illness. He was born in Waco, Texas on April 18, 1950 to William Curtis and Willie Belle Dalrymple. He graduated from PolyTechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. Don was employed with Safeway Grocery Stores when he was 16 years old and spent over 30 years with the company. His final employment was with Fiesta Grocery Stores. After retiring, he spent his time enjoying his family and friends and dwelling in management of real estate properties, one of his passions. He was a kind, courageous and fair man who was incredibly generous with a heart of gold. He believed in hard work, not quitting when things were hard and to truly cherish family. He loved his family and friends very, very much. Don had a true gift for engaging with anyone in commentary with endless stories that made you feel included and special, a true sign of his leadership. You always felt special with Don. He always looked for the positive in every situation and will be remembered for his integrity, honor and kind spirit.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis Dalrymple, Sr, his mother, Willie Belle Merdian, his brother William Curtis Dalrymple, Jr., sisters Bobbie Janelle Dalrymple and Patsy Dalrymple, his youngest daughter, Kelli Rebecca Dalrymple. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dalrymple Willing, daughter of Jeanne Robertson Dalrymple, his grandson Cole Thomas Willing, his brother Rev. Clarence Dalrymple and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His family would like to thank his physicians who assisted in his care in the last few years and the friends and family who kept him in their constant prayers.

Friends and family are invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Don during a visitation from 6:00 pm in the evening until 8:00 on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 I-45 South in The Woodlands. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, at Forest Park The Woodlands. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
