Funeral services for Donna Gail Robertson, 64, of Conroe, Tx will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Ray Hyden officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Donna was born on January 31, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Annie Belle (Puls) Jones. She passed away peacefully on March 27, 2014 in Shenandoah, TX surrounded by her family. On March 1, 1975, Donna married the love of her life, Patrick and they raised two beautiful girls. They were happily married for 39 years. Donna was the oldest of six children and had a "heart as Big as Texas." She had an unconditional love for her family. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her love for her family will live on through her daughters and grandchildren. Donna had the sweetest, most kind and gentle soul and her love will be greatly missed. In her early years, Donna worked in the Insurance industry in Houston. She later went to work in the Administration Office at CISD, where she stayed for over 20 years and met life-long friends. She was often described by her friends as loyal, trustworthy and caring. Donna also enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading, growing plants and honestly, truly loved life itself. "Grammy" as she was affectionately known to her grandbabies, loved to cook! She would spend hours researching recipes and preparing delicious Sunday dinners and birthday dinners for her family. We take comfort in our time of sorrow that she will be joyfully greeted by those who left before; her maternal grandmother, Martha Puls; mother, Annie Belle Rinkel; step father, Raymond Rinkel; and her brother, John Charles Whittington. Living on in her name are her loving family: husband, Patrick Robertson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Andy Kinser and Jodi and Josh Wood; her siblings, Sandy Harmon and husband, Tommy, Lonnie Whittington and wife, Mandy, Tammy Booth and husband, Douglas and Henry Whittington and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Jordan Kinser, Jackson Kinser and Jayden Wood; numerous other dear relatives and friends also survive.
