In the small town of Montgomery, Tx., JC Sr. and Hannah Saddler were BLESSED on August 7, 1945 with a baby girl they named Doris. From age 10, She was raised by Rebecca Sadler. At an early age, She accepted Christ at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Doris attended and graduated Abraham Lincoln High School in 1964. In 1968, she graduated from Bishop College in Dallas, Tx. with a degree in education.

Doris came to know and love Robert Ford. On April 25, 1969 the two became one. During their 45 years of marriage, Doris, Robert and their two daughters resided in Houston, Tx. For 32 years Doris taught special education until she retired from H.I.S.D.

Doris Marie Ford was a Devoted Church Mother of New Faith Unity Baptist Church until God called her home on July 26, 2014. Doris is proceeded in death by her parents (JC Sr. & Hannah Saddler), Rebecca Saddler, three sisters ( Gussie, Lula Beatrice, & Virginia), three brothers ( Jim Issac, Moses, & Thomas James), and her great-grandson, Jarvis JJ. Those left behind to cherish her MEMORIES, LOVE, and LAUGHTER include her husband, Robert Ford, her two daughters, Reanna Hatchett & Roberta Johnson ( Daniel), both of Houston, Tx. Five grandchildren, Constance, Nathalie, Cruz, Jasmine & Daeja, all of Houston, Tx. 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Stella McGinnis of Montgomery and Doreatha Saddler of Houston and two brothers, Joe Saddler (Brenda) of Conroe, Aaron Saddler ( Bernice) of Batavia, NY. She also leaves to cherish her MEMORIES, LOVE, & LAUGHTER are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9-11a.m. The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Word of Love Church 7909 Lockwood Houston, TX 77016. Interment: Montgomery Memorial Cemetery Montgomery, Texas.
