On, May 14, 2017, our sister in Christ, Drucilla Runnels, (Dru) was called home. Dru is survived by her sister, Ann Engram. Although Dru had no biological children of her own, her brothers and sisters: Franklin, Ann, Sue and Richard provided her with many nieces and nephews, who in turn, provided her with numerous grand-nieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was always kind hearted and warm; a perfect balance of love and discipline.

Dru was born November 8, 1942 to Leonard Virgil Runnels and Edna Louise Pohl. She was witty and charismatic with a fierce sense of independence. She was also steadfast and passionate in her love of the lord, her family and friends. Dru was blessed with the community of a church family. She was an active member of the Longmire Road, Church of Christ, in which she lovingly referred to as her second family.

Join us to celebrate the life of Dru and face together the pain of loss we all encountered in the death of our dear loved one. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Longmire Road Church of Christ at 200 Longmire Rd., in Conroe, Texas beginning at 12:30pm with interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Texas.
