On February 4, 1951 in Conroe, Texas Earnest Feggins, Jr. was born to Mary Helen Turner and Earnest Feggins, Sr. Earnest graduated from Willis High School in 1969 and attended University of Houston. Earnest played basket ball and football. He was a member of the Turner School, Class of 1967- 1968 State Football Championship Team (#33). Earnest joined the United States Army as a Radio Teletype Operator & Military Police (M.P.) from April 1971- April 1973. He attended Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas where he served on the Deacon Board, Financial Staff, and the Pulpit Usher. Earnest retired from Smith International after 30 years of service as Logistics Coordinator. Afterwards he was employed at TDCJ as a CO for four years until disability retirement. Earnest was involved in many organizations such as, Willis School Reunion Committee and was Inducted into the Prairie View Interscholastic League (PVIL) in 2011.

On September 29, 2015 God walked around his Garden, plucked a flower and called Earnest home. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Sammy Luke and Richard Feggins. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving and devoted wife, Sammie J. Feggins; One son, Garwin L. Feggins; Four grandchildren, Charrod Henry, Mekhi Feggins, Mikhelyn Feggins and Jrue Feggins; Two sisters, Kaye Campbell and Patricia Rene Feggins; Four brothers, Jimmy Feggins (Carolyn), Craig Feggins(Shandy), Christopher Feggins, and Mark Feggins(Shelia); Special cousins, Jerry Pollard (Betty) and Jerry Blair. Earnest and Sammie were blessed to have some of their nieces and nephews share their home; Kathlya, Andre, Stacy, Rodrick, and Alettra; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday October 3, 2015 from 12-1 p.m. The Funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Both services will be held at Lynn Lucas Middle School 1304 N. Campbell Willis, Texas 77378. Eulogist: Pastor Lenard Allen, Sr. Interment: Rosewood Cemetery Conroe, Texas.
