Funeral Services for Ed T. Cothran, Jr., longtime resident of Conroe, will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Pastor John Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Copeland Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. at Conroe Funeral Directors.

Tom was born on June 2, 1938 in Conroe, Texas to E. T. Cothran, Sr. and Sybil Cothran. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. Tom was 77 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents: E.T. Sr. and Sybil Cothran; brothers, A.B. Powell, Vern Powell and B.E. Powell; mother-in-law, Dorothy Morrow and husband, J.C. Morrow and brother-in-law, Bobby Morrow.

Tom is survived by his loving family: wife of 54 years, Janice V. (Morrow) Cothran; son, Chris Cothran; daughter, Terri Guinn and husband, Loyd; grandsons, Robert Christopher Cothran, III and Thomas Chad Hawkins and his wife, Sheri; step-grandchidren, Joey Guinn and Jessica Adams; great grandchild, Maci Hawkins; step great grandchildren, Courtlyn and Corey Guinn, Hailey Smith and Brooke and Kenzie Adams; great-great grandson, Carter Guinn; brother, Joe Powell; numerous other nieces, nephews, in-laws, other dear relatives and friends also survive.
