Funeral services for Eddie Ruth Lagway of Willis, Texas, are set for Sat. Jan. 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Lynn Lucas Middle School Auditorium in Willis. Visitation will start on Sat. from 9-11 a.m. Interment will follow in the New Homes cemetery in Willis. Ms. Lagway was born Aug. 25, 1956 in Conroe, Tx. and passed this life on Jan. 12, 2012. She will be truly missed. She was an life long active citizen in the Willis community, deeply committed to the education system of Willis I.S.D., serving on the school board for 10 years, president and founding member of the Community Development Corporation, member of the Conroe Friendly Kiwanis, board member for Turner Willis School Reunion Committee and an active member in her church; Antioch M.B.C., just to mention a few. Eddie is survived by her two sons; John Lagway (Sharon) and Derek Lagway (Nikita), both of Willis, step-father; Ephron Reece, two sisters; Mary Bell Thompson and Robyn LaFear, five brothers; Darrell Surgers (Sarah), Victor Shaw, Stephen Shaw, Perry Shaw (Pam) and Sid Shaw. Four grandchildren, her finance'; Powell Reece and a host of other close relatives and friends.
