SFC (Retired) Edmound L. Fitzpatrick Sr. died suddenly of a heart attack in The Woodlands, TX February 9, 2013. He was born in Clarksburg, WV October 27,1936, the son of E. Otto and Hilda Fitzpatrick. He married Vera Jean Smith June 1, 1957. He is survived by his sons, Ed Fitzpatrick, Jr. of Bethel, CT, Patrick Fitzpatrick of San Antonio, TX, and Douglas Fitzpatrick of The Woodlands, TX, as well as his 6 grandchildren. He was a fiercely loving husband and father. He was a decorated Vietnam War veteran, serving his country for 20 years in the U.S. Military, Marine Corps and Army. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason. His later years were spent battling the effects of Agent Orange to which he was exposed during his tours of duty in Vietnam ('68-'69; '70-'71). He will be cremated and laid to rest with military honors beside his wife of 53 years in the Houston Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Cards can be sent to: 616 Orangewood Dr. Conroe, TX 77302.
