Wanda Elaine De Bruin passed away on October 20, 2015 in The Woodlands, TX following a lengthy illness. Born and raised in East Texas, Elaine moved to Houston as a teacher following her graduation from Stephen F. Austin University. Soon thereafter, Elaine met, and on 10/26/64 wed, James De Bruin with whom she happily spent the remainder of her life. After teaching, she later became a residential real estate agent but primarily served in a full-time capacity as "mom", which she excelled at.

Elaine was a faithful member of the Conroe Church of Christ and loved spending time with family and friends. She was an incredible cook, loved traveling, was an avid reader and maintained an adventurous spirit and zest for life to the end.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Clara Campbell West. She is survived by her loving husband James, her brother Carroll Campbell and his wife Terry, her sister Kathy and her husband Carl Meadows , three children Jeffrey, Scott and wife Angela, Stacey and husband Steve Phillips, and six grandchildren Hillary, Austin, Ben, Jack, Grant and Paige.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26 at Conroe Church of Christ, 1860 Longmire Road, Conroe, TX at 10:30 AM. Reception to follow.
