Our beloved Mother, Elizabeth Jane Kitterman Chapman entered the Holy Realm of Heaven Wednesday November 2nd in Austin, Texas after a long courageous battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. Her husband of 56 years, John H. Chapman and her son Ralph Patrick Chapman preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Ellen L. Snooks and husband, Greg; Donna Lou Young, M. Melissa "Missy" Shelton and husband Brice; sons Michael Chapman and Frank Chapman; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Snooks, Jason Snooks and wife Alexis, Kimberly and Liesa Snooks; Kyle Young and wife Capree, Kirby, Kelsey and Kent Young; Alissa and Sommer Shelton; and one great grand child, Logan Snooks.

Mrs. Chapman was a native of Beaumont and graduated from Lamar High School in Houston.

She was a devoted Girl Scout Leader, Altar Society member and a Master Gardener. She loved gardening, crafts, reading books, playing bingo and especially loved helping others. While living in the Montgomery County area, she was a tireless volunteer with Meals on Wheels, The Assistance League and Child Advocates.

Family will receive friends from 12 - 2pm on Saturday November 19th at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm.
