Ellise was born on September 16, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Elsie Jones and posthumously to William Ellis Wilson, Jr., who died during a training exercise with the Army Air Corps seven months prior. She passed away, holding her granddaughters hand and surrounded by family on January 9, 2017. She was raised in Alvord and in New Harp with her grandparents help until she was three. Her mother remarried and the family soon moved to Conroe when she was about twelve. She attended Conroe schools but graduated in 1961 from Forestburg High School in Montague County, only spending her senior year there. She married the love of her life, Gene McDonald, just days after graduation. Together they had two children, and built their family home together in Old Waverly in 1977. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Gene, her aunt, Helen Jones, and nephew, Houston Briggs. Surviving her are her two children: Keith and wife, Julya, and daughter, Kelly. Grandchildren: Hal Bazar and wife, Christina, Hannah Poe and husband, Troy, Ben McDonald, and John Carter II, and great grandchildren, Hunter Bazar and Gunner Bazar. Brothers, Tom Adcock and wife Sandra of Frisco, and Herb Adcock of Atlanta, GA. Cousins, Jeanne Getz and husband, Marty, Patty Porretto of Kaukauna, WI, Diane Sparks and husband, Jim, of Austin, Marilyn Hibbetts and husband, Roberto, also of Austin, and her ex-daughter in law, Sally Carey of Wales, UK. Her best canine friend, Freckles, as well as multiple other cousins as well as nieces and nephews also survive her. We are celebrating our "Mama" and "Gran" with visitation at Cashner Funeral Home Colonial Chapel, in Conroe, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service which will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery.
