Elvira Ortiz of Willis, Texas, passed away quietly in her home on July 25 , 2014. She was the most loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend anyone will ever know. She will always be remembered for the love she showed to all, especially all of her grandkids. She made sure to show them every day how much she loved them by calling and visiting every chance she got. She spent every moment she had making sure they knew through hugs and kisses that they were loved. She also showed that same passion towards her husband and daughters.

Elvira is preceded in death by her parents, Salome and Ernestina Gonzalez; daughter Irene Baeza; granddaughter Inez Anna Baeza; 2 sisters, Diana and Minerva; and great niece Vivica Villarreal. She is survived by her husband Jose Antonio Ortiz; daughter Marisella and husband Daniel Garrido; daughter Esmeralda Baeza; stepsons, Horacio, Jose Jesus, Luz Antonio, Rodolfo, and Lorena; and 16 grandchildren, Esperanza, Alejandro, Elizabeth, William, Gelena, Daniella, Jose Miguel, Jose Juan, Auerelio Antonio, Angel Daniel, Judith, Jaqueline, Lupita, Vickie, Marissa, and Bernice. Elvira is also survived by 8 brothers and sisters, Ismael, Esiquel, Salome, Enedina, Eusebia, Susana, Irasema, and Ernestina; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, August 1 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis from 6-8 PM, with Rosary beginning at 7 PM. Funeral Services officiated by Father Philip Wilhite will be held Saturday, August 2 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe.
