Emily Cary Riddle, 77, of Conroe, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 2 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and care givers after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Emily was born on July 19, 1940 in Sherman, Texas to Dr, Robert David and Josephine Van Schoick. She grew up in Leonard, Texas which is where she met Gene Riddle whom she married on February 26, 1956 and was married to for 61 years. Gene and Emily have three children, David Riddle (Jan) of Denton, Texas, Danny Riddle (Erin) of Conroe, Texas and Darla Crowson (Jeff) of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Thomas Riddle, Hannah Crowson, Lucas Riddle, Emily Crowson, Amber Purser, Brandon King and Ethan McGinnis. Emily is also survived by a brother Bob Van Schoick (Nelda) of Bogart, Georgia, and sisters Joanne Grimes(Billy) of Leonard, Texas and Jeannie Van Schoick also of Leonard, Texas along with numerous other family members. Emily worked for over 55 years in the radiologic technology field doing x-ray and mammography. She was very well liked and respected by her co-workers and patients. Emily will be remembered as an unselfish, loving and kind person who only had positive words to say. She loved to cook and bake for any size crowd and loved to be surrounded by friends and family. The family would like to express gratitude to Kelly Cargill of Cleveland, Texas who cared for Emily for over a year, and to Sherri Henry of Conroe, Texas who spent many hours with Gene and Emily and loved her as she would her own family. A memorial service for Emily is scheduled for Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m. at McNutt Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
