Emma Lee Oltermann, age 82, passed away January 3, 2014, and is now enjoying her Savior Jesus. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Oltermann Reynolds and husband Larry of Glendale, AZ; son Dr. Steven Oltermann and wife Judy of White Stone, VA; son Dr. Mark Oltermann and wife Carmelita of Aledo, TX; daughter Edith Kreger and husband Charles of Conroe, TX; brother John Crider of Fresno, CA; grandchildren: Jacob Reynolds, Lucinda Reynolds Manuel, Debi Reynolds, Tia Reynolds Locke; Lauren Smith and husband Jason; Natalie Timmons and husband Kyle; Brianne Chin and husband Sam; Matthew Oltermann; Erika Oltermann; Joshua Kreger and wife Julianne; Jessica Schellhase and husband Eric; 13 great-grandchildren and several more on the way; and 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous other loved relatives and extended family, and many dear friends. Emma Lee was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Kathryn Crider; her dear husband, John James Oltermann; and her brother Frank "Pancho" Crider. She will be missed by so many.

Emma Lee was quite a special woman, full of joy and full of God's spirit. She touched so many lives, was generous and compassionate. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each and every one was wonderful in her sight and she was so proud of them all. She had so many dear friends, too many to name, for whom she cared so deeply. The family would like to thank each and every one for their love and concern for Emma Lee.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, with visitation immediately preceding beginning at noon. Burial is scheduled later that day at 4:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Spring, TX. You are invited to leave a written condolence to the family on our website at www.shmfh.com.
