Ernest Lee Crumpacker, Jr., age 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday February 10, 2015. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with Esophageal Cancer. Ernest was born September 7, 1933 in Houston, Texas, the son of the late Ernest Lee Crumpacker and Juanita Clark Crumpacker.

Ernest graduated from Lamar High School in Houston, Texas in 1952. He then attended The University of Texas and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Ernest married Anne Lennee Boone on April 9, 1955. They were married for 59 years and together raised four children. He enjoyed a successful career in the construction industry building numerous shopping centers, apartments, dental and medical clinics and custom homes in the Houston and Conroe area. Ernest was a charter member of St. Lukes Methodist Church in Houston, Texas and also Conroe Bible Church in Conroe, Texas.

Ernest is preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie McMillian; sister Anne Lee Southworth; son William Clark Crumpacker; daughter Margaret Susan Conley; niece Dale Anne Mabry; nephew Earl Thomas McMillian III; and his beloved calico cat Nala.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Boone Crumpacker; daughter-in-law Laura George Crumpacker, daughter Elizabeth Lynn McKnight and husband Gary; daughter Malinda Eleanor Elsby and husband Doug; grandchildren, William Clark Crumpacker II, Aaron James Crumpacker, Julianna Rose Crumpacker, Daniel Gary Levi McKnight, Alexander Glen Lee Colby, Aine Siobhan Mae Elsby and his beloved cat Fish.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 3 PM officiated by Pastor Dave Schneider at Conroe Bible Church at 4491 Interstate 45 North, Conroe, Texas 77304.
