Ernst N. Hochberger, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at age 82. He was born in the Czech Republic on June 14, 1930. He immigrated to the United States in 1949 at the age of 19. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kentucky on the G.I. Bill, and worked most of his career as a Customer Service Rep for Kaiser Aluminum in both Louisiana and Washington State.

He is preceded in death by one son, Steve, his parents, Ernst and Leopoldine Hochberger; his sister, Helga Barasits and a niece, Irene Franz. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Hochberger; step-son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Rhonda Bourgeois, and grandchildren, Ana, Ryan and Jenna Bourgeois. Also, he is survived by his daughter-in-law, Laura Hochberger; granddaughters, Angela and Natalie Hochberger, and great grandson, Kodi Wagner.

He has been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas since 2000 and was a worker with their St. Vincent DePaul Society.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be made to St. Mary's, St. Vincent DePaul Society in his memory. Checks to be written to St. Vincent DePaul Society, and may be mailed to St. Mary's Catholic Church, P. O. Box 388, Plantersville, Texas 77383.
