Eugene T. "Jack" Wallace, age 91, of Houston passed away on March 16, 2012. Jack was born March 24, 1920 in Minerva, Texas to Lee and Belle Wallace. Jack was married to Lucy Wallace and they celebrated their 70th anniversary just before she passed away in 2011. He was proud to be a member of "THE GREATEST GENERATION". After serving in the Armed Forces during WWII, Jack worked hard to complete his education and graduated from the University of Houston in 1949. He retired from Rockwell International in 1985 and he and Lucy moved to The Woodlands 12 years ago.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lucy, parents Lee and Belle Wallace and brothers Lee and Cliff and their wives Ruth and Bernice Jean. Jack is survived by children, Ellen Wallace, Martha Ready and husband Ray, and Jack Wallace and wife Anne; grandchildren, Laura Ready Webber, Elaine Wallace, Leslie Houston, Mike Wallace, Mark Hacker, Craig Flint, Becky Bohannan and Drew Wallace.

A graveside service will be held at the Minerva cemetery in Minerva, TX at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 22, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Wallace-Ready Scholarship at the College of Education at the University of Houston, or a .
