Funeral Services for Evangeline Rose Johnson of Conroe, Texas will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints- Crighton Ward with Bishop Joshua Reade officiating. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Evangeline was born on April 30, 1963 in Upper Fruitland, New Mexico to Charley Frank and Marie Martinez. She passed away peacefully at her home in Conroe on September 15, 2017 at the age of 54. Evangeline grew up in New Mexico where she graduated from Cirtland high school. She later proudly served our country in the Army where she served 10 years total duty; which included the National Guard and several active duties; one of them during Desert Storm. She was a lifetime member of the LDS Church where she was a primary teacher. Evangeline loved children and teaching the gospel. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her eight brothers and sisters, Willie Frank, Mary Frank, Charley Frank, Jr., Steven Frank, David B. Jansen, Harrison Frank, Nathaniel Frank, and Calvin Frank.

Evangeline is survived by her loving family: husband of 24 years, Shane O. Johnson; daughters, Courtney R. Johnson and Marie Johnson and son, Samuel O. Johnson; brothers and sisters, Harry Harrison, Joe Harrison, Henry Frank, Rosie Decker, Rose Ann Kellywood, Ernest Frank, Darlene Frank and Dennison Frank. Numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews also survive.

Pallbearers: Samuel Johnson, Nathan Yellowman, Arvin Hunt, Truman Emerson, Dakota Foster, and Jesse H. Johnson, Jr.
