Evelyn made an impact on so many people with her laughter, amazing smile, and her wonderful spirit. She graduated from Weslaco High School in 1952 where she was involved in so much. She had played basketball, volleyball, baseball, tennis and was even a powder puff football player. She also loved her horse and many cars. Evelyn loved the Lord and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Jackson and then the Conroe church in 1990. Evelyn participated in the Women's Circle and created the First Presbyterian Church of Conroe Supper Club. Evelyn was also a founding member of the Point Aquarius Women's club as well as volunteering for the Assistance League. Evelyn loved singing and music and was part of the church choir in Lake Jackson and Conroe. Even after her stroke in 2009 when her speech was impaired she continued to sing with the choir the best she could for many years. She loved gardening and it showed in her beautiful yard. Evelyn and Flem had many great travels in their camper visiting old friends and family. She also enjoyed, painting, and valued the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
