Ferrell Oliver Reagan slipped the surly bonds of earth to enter God's heavenly realm on December 23, 2017. After a long, blessed life, he passed away three weeks before his 93rd birthday.

Ferrell was born January 14, 1925 in Spearsville Louisiana. After the tragic loss of his mother when he was four, Ferrell learned the importance of self-reliance and hard work at an early age. He attended Conroe High School, where he met his wife Franceil. Their marriage would last 73 wonderful years until his death. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army during World War II and served as a B-25 (Mitchell) pilot in the Army Air Corp. Like so many of the greatest generation serving their country, Ferrell then returned to his hometown to begin a career. Hired on as a field hand by Humble Oil Company, he diligently worked his way up through many positions before retiring as the superintendent of Exxon's Conroe production plant. The respect he earned from his coworkers and employees was matched by all who knew him. His skills at trouble-shooting contraptions, fixing mechanisms, and building things was only matched by his ability to warm the souls of those around him.

He was a farmer at heart who loved gardening and was a mainstay of Friendship Gardens in Conroe into his 90's. He was the baby and animal whisperer that could soothe any distressed child or creature; the devoted husband and father who sacrificed all of himself for family; the loving arms for grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a laugh and smile that God meant for all; a builder of houses for people, dogs, and birds; a grower of delicious and beautiful things; teacher of baseball, fishing, and nature.

Ferrell never forgot where he came from and was a gentle, kind soul who would never speak ill of others. A braggart never, modest always, and successful in ways you would never suspect. He is preceded in death by his son Bruce, father Brooks Reagan, and mother Erline Reagan. He is survived by his loving wife Franceil; sister-in-law Bobbie Jean Sapp; son Dennis Reagan and wife Marti; daughter Connie Baca; daughter Karen Wilkerson and husband Mark; son Keith Reagan and wife Danae; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Funeral service for Ferrell Oliver Reagan will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 10:00am with visitation at 9:00am prior to service. Interment will take place at Conroe Memorial Park following service.
