Floyd Elbert Dees was born March 7, 1933 in Houston Texas and passed away July 1, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. Floyd served our country in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a volunteer fire fighter for over 25 years and served as commissioner for the Montgomery County ESD 9 for more than 17 years.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Floye Dees. Daughters: Vicki Schantz and Johnnie Smith and grandson Joe Adams. He is survived by his wife Jeanette Dees of Conroe, Daughters Jane Tauer of Conroe, Michelle Isbell and Chris Baudoin of Lafayette LA., Stacy Dees-Teran and Stephen Brown of Conroe,. Sister: Eleanor Rivera of Teague. Brothers: John Dees and wife Sandy of Conroe and Jim Dees of Conroe. Grandchildren: Renee Austin, Bryan Lipp, James Franklin, Brandon Dees, Megan Brennan and Kyle Teran. Great-grandchildren: McKenzie Adams, Maddison Adams, Chassidy Lipp, Kaylee Lipp, Casey Weiss-Brennan and Lilly Franklin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Floyd E. Dees will be held Friday July 6, 2012 in the Metcalf Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday July 5, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm. at the funeral home. You are invited to leave a tribute to the family on our web site.
