Funeral services for Floyd T. Morgan, 74, longtime resident of Conroe, Texas will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Pastor Tim Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service in The Chapel. A private interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery.

Floyd was born on February 9, 1941 in Oakwood, Texas to Jessie and Dessie (Lee) Morgan. He moved to Conroe at an early age with his family and later graduated from Conroe High School in 1958. Soon after graduating, Floyd joined the Navy and served upon the USS John S. McCain (DL-3) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during the Vietnam era. His rank was BM3 before being honorably discharged in 1962. Over the years Floyd joined several fraternal organizations, such as the VFW Post 4709 in Conroe where he was a Life Member, Destroyer Leader Association and the 823 Badge of Honor Taiwan Roc. Veteran Association.

Floyd was quite the entrepreneur, having started nine businesses in the Conroe area from 1973-1986. He held professional licenses including Private Investigator (Investigators Co.), Executive Investigations, as well as, his Texas Real Estate license. He retired from real estate in 2003.

Staying close to the true Texan Floyd was all his life, his favorite hobbies were hunting and shooting. Floyd is survived by his loving family: sons, Donald Morgan and Rick Morgan; grandchildren, Scott Morgan, Kelsey Morgan and Brenna Morgan. He was a loving father and grandfather who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
