Frances was born January 22, 1933 in Plantersville to Frank Herman and Ellie Mary McClosky Imhoff. She graduated high school at the age of 16 and college at 20. She completed her education earning a Masters Degree from Sam Houston (Teachers College) State University. Frances taught multiple generations of the same family in the course of 50 years of teaching. After teaching for many years in the Montgomery ISD she retired, and later was called to teach again with the Anderson ISD where she retried a second time after teaching for 50 years..

Frances married James Bernard "J.B." Langley and they lived in Stoneham as well as other locations until they moved to Montgomery in 1967. Education was her primary focus in life, but in retirement she enjoyed a wonderful social life with family and friends. It is said that there wasn't a place in this world that Frances could travel that she wouldn't run into someone she may have influenced their life in some way. Frances would never turn down a trip to a casino, a game of cards or just spending time with those she loved. One of her greatest achievements was her children that she was so proud of.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ramona Langley, husbands, J.B. Langley and John King and a sister, Virginia Rose Carver.

Survivors include her children, James Langley and wife Carol of Montgomery, Joette Jochen and husband Harlan, Jacade Isbell and husband Ricky, both of Navasota and Jennifer Dodson of Montgomery; brother, Joe Imhoff of Plantersville; sister, Ann Clark and husband Danny of Navasota; grandchildren, Justin Langley and his children, Jadyn and Morgyn Langley, Taloyre Keller and husband Darin and their children, Dillon, Austyn, Lauren and Nathan, Reese Pistler and wife Jamie and their children, Remi and Ramona Pistler, Stacey Male and husband Wes and their son Jaxon, Abbi Slaton and husband Michael, Bryan Dodson, Elle Rocha-Rios and her daughter, Olivia and special friend, Madison, along with numerous other relatives, friends and former students.
