Frank H. Passalaqua, 92, of Conroe, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012. Frank was a WWII veteran and a member of the VFW. He was responsible for bringing one of the first industries to Conroe, TX, Sparkler Manufacturing Co. in the early 60's where he was Executive Vice President.

Frank was born in McComb, Mississippi on November 19, 1919. His parents, John and Leonora Chinisci, were both from Sicily and entered the United States through the Gulf of Mexico. He was married in 1942 to Anne A. Passalaqua and had two children, Sandra and Lynda.

Frank was preceded in death by wife, Anne Adele Passalaqua daughter, Sandra Maiorana, and son-in-law Charles Maiorana. Brothers and sisters; Henry Passalaqua, John Passalaqua, Pat Peterson and Fran Schuelke. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law Lynda and Richard Edwards of Montgomery, Texas. Grandson; Joseph Crane, granddaughters; Andrea and Christin Edwards, great grandchildren; Mia and Eva Crane and Mason and Jackson Guidry. His brother, Joseph John Passalaqua and sister Nancy Weber of Libertyville, Ill.

In the 40s Frank served in the army in WWII as a paratrooper. After he was discharged he worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He moved to Conroe as Executive Vice President of Sparkler Manufacturing Co. in the early 60s where he developed several patents for the liquid filtration industry and later began working independently for Industrial Filter and Pump Co. out of Chicago, Ill.

Through his later years of life Frank's energy level never slowed down and he continued to serve his community by volunteering at Sadler Clinic for many years and was the head of the ushers at the Sacred Heart Church.

Frank will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Metcalf Funeral Home 1801 E. White Oak Terrace Conroe, Texas 77304.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday August 24, 2012 with a reception to follow at Metcalf Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Sandy Maiorana Baseball Scholarship Fund, 2926 Triway Lane, Houston, Texas 77043 will be appreciated.
