Gary Lee Carson, (1947-2013) passed away at home surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends, into the arms of Jesus on July 27, 2013. He was only 66 years young. Gary was born on June, 26 1947 in Dalhart, TX.

Gary is predeceased by his parents Lewis and Della Carson, and his sister Jackie. Gary is survived by his loving wife Maggi. They were married in Conroe on October 6th 2001. Gary is also survived and lovingly remembered by his Brother, Michael (Linda) Carson of Conroe, TX; his Children, Robin Carson, of Spring ,TX ; Sandi (Bill) McInerney of Seattle, WA; Ray (Jennifer) Jones of Conroe, TX; Ed Jones (Amanda) of Cheyenne, WY . His grandchildren include Raul and Brittany; Todd, Bryce and Dillon; Austin, Faith and Devon; Shaya and great granddaughter Jersey; along with many other relatives and countless friends.

Gary Carson was a proud 25 year veteran of the Houston fire department where his years as a firefighter and paramedic touched many lives. Gary had an amazing gift for kindness, a love of life and family and he never went too far without his Labrador, Abby. For Gary, no one was a stranger for long. He will be loved and remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The Memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home, 2602 South Houston Ave, Humble TX, 77396 ; Thursday August 1st 2013 at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Dennis W Holder Scholarship Fund, benefitting children and grandchildren of Houston firefighters.
