Gary DeWayne Davis, 66, of New Waverly, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 after a long battle with liver cancer. He was born on September 13, 1946 in Oakland, California to Lewis and Norma Davis. Gary was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Gary enjoyed singing, playing and listening to music. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his three sons Larry of Los Angeles, California, Jerry of Conroe, Texas and Terry and wife Andrea of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren Brittni, Kellie, Nyah, Jerry and Olivia; two sisters Carolyn Smith and Teresa Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with burial to follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
