Gary Marvin Wetter, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in Conroe, TX after fighting a courageous battle with his second bout with cancer. Gary was born July 27, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Carter Riverside High School and attended Texas Tech University on a baseball scholarship where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating from college, he married his soul mate, Linda Richardson. During their 53 year marriage, they raised two children, Kaylyn and Greg. He had a long, successful career in oilfield services. Since 1976, he resided in Conroe, Texas and retired from Nabors Offshore Corporation in 2004.

Gary was a man of truly solid character, who was always positive and kind, and never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and an all-around wonderful person. Gary enjoyed spending time together with his wife and friends, and he was a true friend to all. He particularly enjoyed being together with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing golf with his wife and their many dear friends. He touched many lives, and will be sorely missed.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda, his daughter Kaylyn Huerter and her husband Rodney of Conroe; his son Greg Wetter and his wife Melanie of Spring; his grandchildren Tyler Shantz, Jared Huerter and Callie Wetter; his brother Steve Wetter of Euless, TX, his father-in-law Buford Richardson of Fort Worth, his sister-in-law Janis Claborn of Azle, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Wetter, and father, Marvin "Smokey Montgomery" Wetter.
