Gay Nell (Beall) Heaton, a resident of Spring, formerly of The Woodlands, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in The Woodlands, Texas. Gay was 81 years old and was born on November 23, 1932 in Tatum, Texas to Lela and James Beall. She graduated from Tatum High School and on September 22, 1951 married Roy Chester Heaton. They remained married until his death in 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Alan, and, of course, her husband of 43 years. Mourning the loss of their mother are her three sons and their wives, Barry Heaton, Yelba and Roy Heaton and Beverly and Randy Heaton. She is survived by her ten grandchildren starting with her first (and most favorite) Krysti Heaton Miles (Kevin), Kelsey Heaton, Katie Heaton, Taylor Heaton Elswick (Clay), Sam Heaton, Haylee Heaton Rivenbark (Lance), Eric Heaton, Kimberly Heaton, Kristen Heaton and Evan Heaton. Surviving her are three great-grandchildren, Heaton Miles, Hampton Miles and Kenlee Rivenbark. She is also survived by her six sisters Betty McAnally (Joe-deceased), Judy Pool (Ronnie), Anna Wallace (Hayes), Bobbie Davis (Ronnie), Glenda DeVillier (Sam), Sherry Sharp (Barry) and her two brothers, Johnny Beall (Patti), Wayne Beall (Janet) along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) staff of Memorial Hermann- The Woodlands hospital for their care and compassion they showed the Heaton family during this difficult time. Cashner Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4 from 5-8 pm at Cashner Funeral Home and her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5 at 10 am at Cashner Funeral Home.
