Memorial services to celebrate the life of Gay M Wright will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel, with Fred Martin officiating. Gay was born February 9, 1944 in Santa Ana, California to Harold and Nellie Martin and passed away December 13, 2013, in Willis, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Gay worked for Eckerd/CVS as a reach driver. She loved to fish, and would often spend all day sitting on the bank fishing in her favorite fishing hole. She wasn't afraid to jump in and wrestle out that 55 lbs. catfish or dragging it all the way home. Gay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be remembered by her family for all of the love and affection she provided them. She never missed out on attending a family event, even when her health began to decline, she would always be there to show her love to each and everyone; despite the pain or ailments she was suffering. She also loved spending time with her friends, playing Bingo. Gay is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Stanley Martin and Nellie Fern Martin; by her sister, Jeanne' Martin, and her brother, John Martin. She leaves behind to treasure many memories a loving husband, William A. Wright; daughters, Mickey Apostolo and husband Stan, Bertha Fowler and husband Steve and Marilyn Moore and husband Earl; sons, Tom Wright and wife Stephany, Corey Wright and wife Angie and Willie Wright and wife Cindy; brothers, Barney Martin, Hal Martin, Fred Martin and Olen Martin; grandchildren, Stanley Aposotlo, Jr and wife Jessica and Amber Apostolo, Tiffany Torres, Stephanie Fowler and fiancée James Suess, Steven Fowler, Jacob Miles, Sara Wright, Logan Wright, Emily Gannaway, Brian Wright, Trinity Wright, Ashley Fruge' and husband Rodney and Sidney Wright; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Apostolo, Christopher and Alyssia Almanza.
