Genauga "Gene" Oxendine Ware was born August 26, 1935 in Pembroke, North Carolina and went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2017 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 82. Gene was employed in the education field for 37 1/2 years and retired from Montgomery ISD in the 1999-2000 school year. Gene had a loving and compassionate heart and was always eager to help others. Her life reflected her love of Christ. She brought joy and love to all those who knew her and was admired for her strength of character, generosity of her spirit and kind and loving nature. Her legacy will live on within her family. Gene will be missed but never forgotten. Gene was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie H. and Minirva Elizabeth Oxendine; husband, Clyde Ware in 2015, and by his parents, Clyde and Bertha Ware; four siblings, Leon, Lois, Carol and Gennette; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice and Bevery; son-in-law, Gary Trero. Gene is survived by her children: Terri Trero, Jerry Ware and wife Kim, Donna Rigsby and husband Albert, and Philip Ware and wife Toni, all of Conroe, Texas; sister, Deola Taylor and husband Horace of South Carolina; brothers: Denford Oxendine and wife Bess, and Millard Oxendine, both of North Carolina, and George Oxendine and wife Delores of Georgia; grandchildren: Harley Trero and wife Livni, Greg Trero, Jason Trero, Paul David Ware, Justin Perry, Jeremy Mattern, Travis Rigsby, Malorie Rigsby Moore and husband David, Katelyn Ware, Natalie Ware and Levi Ware; great grandchildren: Nathan Trero, Tegan Trero, Maverick Mattern, Kieran Mattern, Tracy Moore and Weston Moore; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 12:30-2pm with a Celebration of Life service starting at 2pm with Pastor Robert Walker officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers for the service will be: Harley Trero, Greg Trero, Jason Trero, Travis Rigsby, Jeremy Mattern, David Moore and Levi Ware.
