George Samuel Colburn of Conroe, Texas passed away April 4, 2013. He was born August 28, 1941 in Brent, Alabama to Wesley and Annie Colburn. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and went on to serve in Army Intelligence in Japan; he was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, was a John Wayne fan and loved volunteering at his grandchildren's school. Sam served as general manager of Blume Tree Services and worked in human resources at Tri County. He is survived by his loving wife: Susan Colburn; son: Wesley Colburn and wife Edina; daughter: Beth Klammer and husband Jeremy; grandchildren: Becca, Nathan, Caden, Karis and Karlie; sister: Sue Clare; brother: Danny Colburn.
