George Sechler, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at his home in The Woodlands, Texas.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 4, 1961 and graduated from Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois. George attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and later received a Masters' degree in Business Administration at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. He had a long career in management at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas before working for GE Capital Modular Space in Houston.

In recent years, he enjoyed retirement while working towards his doctorate. George was an avid reader, loved traveling, enjoyed outdoors, doing activities like golf, fishing, long distance bike rides, and hiking/camping with his son's scout troop.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Darlene Sechler; and his wife, Karen Sechler.

He is survived by his son, James Sechler (19); daughter, Nikki Sechler (18) of the Woodlands, Texas; sister, Andrea Matthews; brother-in-law, Troy Matthews and daughter, Victoria of Conroe, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to or Alcoholics Anonymous.

The funeral service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, 77384 on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
