Mr. Gerald S. (Jerry) Thomas died at St. Luke's Woodlands Hospital on March 15, 2015, at the age of 73. He is survived by Teresa, his wife of 20 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Steven Schwartz of Bryan, Jessica & Joe Saavedra of Corpus Christi, Missy & Nathan Flower of Ossining, NY, Heather & Josh Shields of Montgomery, and Shelley & Joey Champion of Montgomery; sister, Darlene Tiller of New Waverley; and eleven grandchildren: Lowden, Addison & Junot Flower; Stormi, Austin and Brandon Champion; Megan, Jake and Ben Shields; Jack Garlock; and Nicholas Stockton. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Jerry was born July 26, 1941 in Houston, Texas, to Jesse and Frances Thomas. He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1960. Jerry was an accomplished electrician and worked around the world in the energy sector. He was a volunteer fireman across Montgomery County for over forty years and enjoyed fishing, especially with his sons-in-law and grandchildren. Jerry loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports activities, and particularly enjoyed attending Montgomery High School football games. He was also a passionate cook. Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, from the hours of 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with Bro.
