Geraldine "Gerry" Gibson peacefully passed away to be with her beloved husband Bill on November 5, 2017. Gerry was born on April 30, 1932 in Brownsville, Texas. She grew up in and around the beautiful Rio Grande Valley and San Benito, Texas. In March 1956, Gerry met the love of her life, Bill, on a blind date in Harlingen, Texas and they were married 6 weeks later. Gerry then began her life as a proud Air Force wife and mother until Bill's retirement in 1972 when they relocated to Spring, Texas with their children. Gerry loved being active in her community and through her church, Trinity Episcopal, faithfully serving and attending since 1978. She also enjoyed working at the Montgomery County Library as the Children's Librarian and StoryTime Lady for the children's program. She loved gardening, animals, cooking, traveling, playing bridge and her guacamole. Her greatest joy and passion were taking care of her family and husband. She loved being around her friends, especially her best friend since high school, Mrs. Betty Ann Bull and also her best friend from church, Mrs. Dee Butler. Gerry is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Althea, her sister Jeanice, her grandchildren Charlie and David, and her beloved husband of 57 years, Bill. Gerry is survived by her children, Andy and wife Frances, Mike and wife Chris, Elaine, Cathy, Billy and wife, Rosanna, her 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her 2 grand-animals, Kenji and Gavy. Gerry's family would like to say a special thank you to her nurse Gabby, aide Carolyn and everyone at Autumn Grove for the wonderful care, love and compassion during these last 3 months. Gerry's life will be honored and celebrated on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:30am at Trinity Episcopal Church of The Woodlands with a recep-tion immediately follow-ing. A private burial will be held later to reunite Gerry with her beloved husband, Bill, at Houston's National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Gerry's honor can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or The Wounded Warriors Foundation. "May the Peace of our Lord always be with you and may you always walk in Christ's love and mercy."
