Glen Marshall Castleschouldt, 81, passed away in his sleep at home on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Coldsprings, Texas. He was born January 24, 1936 to W. M. and Marie Castleschouldt in Montgomery, Texas. On January 24, 1958 he married the love of his life, Ruth Norsworthy in Conroe, Texas. Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He retired from Oak Farms Dairy, which he claimed was the best milk in the world. He then was a foreman building bulkheads for Alston Marine. Glen then concentrated on his ranch, raising cattle, fishing, and hunting. He loved telling stories and he didn't ever lose an argument. His greatest pride and joy was his wife and his family. Survivors include his wife Ruth, his daughter, Vicki Clary and husband James, sons; Deno and companion, Paula Horton, Dane and wife, Stephanie, and Marlon and wife, Donna; 7 grandchildren; Lacy and Kirsten Clary, Katie Hepler, Dylan, Keaton, Chase and Payton Castleschouldt; and 9 great-grandchildren; Mia, Reagan, Austin and Connor Taylor, Kasen and Kannon Durbin, Hadley Jeffcoate, Avery and Noah Hepler; 4 sisters; Ruth Redden, Luvan Simmons, Pat Castleschouldt, and Clara Castleschouldt, 4 brothers; Wayburn, Wesley, Wayne, and Cliff Castleschouldt; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his brothers, Joe and Charles. A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Sam Houston Funeral Home, 10129 FM 1097 West, Willis, Texas 77318. Rosary will be at 5:00 PM followed by visitation from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and a memorial service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Castleschouldt Farm Family Cemetery.
