Gloria Steiner Clark, age 88, passed from this life to begin her new life of everlasting peace on December 25, 2013. She was born on November 20, 1925 to Bernadein and Clarice Steiner in Austin, Texas. The Steiner name was known in Austin for the Steiner Ranch, Capitol Saddlery Boot and Saddle Shop and the Steiner Rodeo that traveled all over the State of Texas. Gloria met the love of her life, Thomas Edward Clark, while playing bridge in The Texas Union when she attended the University of Texas in Austin. They married on August 30, 1947, and celebrated 47 years of marriage. Tom and Gloria owned and operated Clark Pharmacy in downtown Conroe on the square for many years. In addition they owned and operated Medical Village Pharmacy, Clark's Drug Mart, Clark Watson Pharmacy and Willis Pharmacy. While Tom was the pharmacist, Gloria worked by his side every day. Gloria was a very strong woman and devoted her life to her family. She expressed her love by cooking and making sure everyone had a good meal! Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Bernadein and Clarice, her husband Tom, her sister Helyn Forgason, nephew Butch Forgason, and special friend Joyce Stewart. She is survived by her son, Tommy Clark and daughter-in-law Jane, daughter, Debbie Mack and son-in-law Gary, and daughter, Tami Clark. She is also survived by four grandsons, Kyle Clark and wife Mirna, Wesley Mack and wife Allison, Cody Mack and wife Amy, and Tommy Koenig and wife Yuko, and two granddaughters, Carrie Maddux and husband David, and Kara Vaughan and husband Paul. In addition Gloria is survived by nine great grandchildren, Kylie and Kyle Clark Jr, Lincoln and Townsend Mack, Madison Maddux, and Kaeley, Isabel, Grace, and Jackson Vaughan. She is also survived by her aunt Carroll Steiner and her niece Judy Forgason, and special friends and neighbors Ray and Lisa Walding. We would like to express special appreciation to Tami, who through her care, made it possible for our Mother to remain in her home for the last few years. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30 from 5-7 pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, December 31 at 2 pm at Cashner Funeral Home.
