Gloria "Jean" Anderson of Cleveland, Texas passed away on June 21, 2017 at her home after a 9 month battle with brain cancer. Jean fought cancer with dignity and grace. Her beautiful heart, spirit and her love and caring for others shone through to the end. From her birth in Center, Texas on April 16, 1941 to her death on June 21, 2017 she nourished people around her with love and faith. She was the oldest of 3 children born to Rev. Grady and Janie Johnson. She married Prentice G. Anderson and had one son, Prentice Anderson Jr. Jean worked for the Montgomery County Hospital District for 34 years and was always active in her church.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Prentice G. Anderson and parents, Adam Grady and Mattie Janie Johnson. She is survived by her son, Prentice Anderson, Jr and wife Paula, grandchildren, Prentice Heath Anderson, Jared Anderson and wife Tami, Adam Anderson and wife Erin, Andy Anderson and Tommy Gaskins and wife Juli, great- grandchildren, Austin Gaskins, Abbey Anderson and Lily Gaskins. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends also survive.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303). Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00am at Northside Baptist Church (701 N. FM 3083 Conroe, TX, 77303) with Rev. Buddy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery in Cut N Shoot, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Bethlehem Cemetery fund (Linda Berry P.O. Box 7232, Cut N Shoot, TX, 77306).
