Gloria Joy Lara was born January 25, 1958 in Victoria, Texas to Tony and Hope Pena. Sadly she passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas after 60 years of life.

She always enjoyed reading, spending time with her friends, and her trips to local resale shops. Gloria loved her family and her special dogs. She had a passion for cooking and was willing to provide a meal to anyone who needed it. In keeping with her generous spirit, she gave in death as she gave in life; she was an eye and bone tissue donor.

Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Kawanna Kosadnar, Jason Lara, Clark Lara, II and wife Annarica, Damian Lara and fiancé, Taylor Crane, the father of her children, Clark Lara, Sr., grandchildren, Alexa Kosadnar and Daniel Lara, great granddaughter, Makalya Lara-Eaton, and cousins, Olga Lopez and Jane Magallan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe.

In lieu of normal remembrances, please make a donation in Gloria's honor to the Conroe Friendship Center or Meals on Wheels, both are located at 1202 Callahan Avenue Conroe, TX 77301.
