Grace Fair passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in Conroe Memorial Park, Conroe. Visitation: 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Grace's honor be directed to Texas Hospice and/or Universal Health Services in Fort Worth. Grace was born in Greenville on Feb. 28, 1922, to George and Georgia Chandler. The family relocated to Dallas where Grace had an idyllic childhood. She graduated from WH Adamson High School, Dallas. Grace was a loving wife and best friend to Robert Fair, her husband of 60 years. Grace and Bob lived in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles before returning to their beloved Texas to reside in Conroe where Grace retired from Conroe ISD. Grace was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her later years at the Villas by the Lake in Fort Worth were among her most enjoyable. The family would like to thank all the health care professionals at Baylor University Medical Center, Texas Hospice, and Universal Health Services for their professionalism and compassion in her care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Fair; parents, George and Georgia Chandler; brothers, G.W., Tom and Lindy. Survivors: Son, Michael T. Fair and wife, Donna, of Arlington, Robert C. Fair and wife, Diane, of Trophy Club; grandsons, Brian Fair, Jason Fair, Jonathan Fair; granddaughters, Jennifer Zimmerman, Amanda Fair; great-grandchildren, Mackinlea, Joshua Kiernan, Michael and Lochlan.
