Gregory Zill Madeley, 62, passed away in his home on August 20, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Madeley; his son, Zach Madeley; his daughter, Cate Madeley and his mother, Jane Browder Madeley. He is preceded in death by his father, Z.T. Bill Madeley, and his brother, Ken Madeley. Born May 28, 1950 in Houston, TX, Gregg is a graduate of Waltrip High School, Sam Houston State University and South Texas College of Law. Greg practiced law in Montgomery County for many years. He was a loving husband, father and son who was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with friends and family. He leaves behind many close and cherished friends. Throughout his struggle with cancer, Gregg retained his sense of humor, his love of people and he never gave up. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and to all friends at the law firm of Steel, Page and Madeley. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, TX. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 24 at Old Waverly Presbyterian Church.
