Gwendolyn Mehaffey "Gwenn" Stroh was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1929 and passed away at her home in Montgomery, Texas on October 15, 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; son, William C. Stroh, and wife Alli, two grandchildren, Kayla Garcia and Chandler Stroh, and a special person, Nita Halim who was like a daughter to them.

She met her husband on a blind date arranged by her brother to see a tennis match at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia, and they were married on January 22, 1949. She and her husband were world travelers with his employment requirements. Gwenn will be remembered for being a founding member of the Flying Highers Tennis Group in Jakarta, Indonesia. She was a member and officer of the Westside Tennis Club in Houston, and also a member of the April Sound Tennis Club.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Dowen Johnson will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 10a.m. in the April Sound Church, 67 1/2 April Wind South, Montgomery, Texas In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Gwenn's memory to the Odyssey Hospice Foundation 100 I-45 North, Suite # 300, Conroe, Texas 77301.
