Harold C. Bridwell, 84, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011. He was born on July 30, 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Raymond and Vera Faye Bridwell. Harold graduated from high school in Fairview, Oklahoma before joining the United Sates Marine Corp in 1946. He was discharged in 1948 after proudly serving his country and then graduated in 1953 from Oklahoma University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then went to work for 11 years at Jersey Production Research Company which latter became known as Exxon. While there he did research and development for drilling tools which included the rubber sleeve core barrel which is still used today. He then started his own business in Conroe, Texas called Texas Diamond Tools and resided in River Plantation for 34 yrs.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 59 yrs. Shirley; sons Bill and wife Linda, John and wife Darlice and Bob; grandchildren Jeremy and wife Brook, Richard, Jason, Ryan, Taylor who is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps and Kali; great-grandchildren Rhealyn and Valor and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Cashner Funeral Home in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with burial to follow at Garden Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Conroe Assistance League, 126 North San Jacinto Street, Conroe, Texas, 77301 or The Woodlands United Methodist Church.
