Harold Sterling Woolard born May 10, 1949 in Sherman, Texas has gone home to our Lord on December 12, 2016 at his home in Montgomery, Texas.

Harold grew up in the Dallas area and graduated in 1967 from Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas. He was a 4 sport letterman which he was very proud of. After high school he went to JR College for a little while before enlisting into the Army Reserves from 1968-1974.

Harold began working for W. R. Meadows which is a Concrete Waterproofing Products Manufacturer in 1978 and worked for them for 38 years as a salesman, winning Salesman of the year in 1983 and 2003. He was a brief General Manager for the Benicia, California branch from 1989-1992. He also became a member of the Construction Specification Institute in 1978. He served as President of the Houston CSI Chapter in 2002, was inducted into the chapter Hall of Fame in 2004, and was elevated to Fellowship of the Institute in 2007. He also was Membership Director for the CSI South Central Region 2008-2011. His peers consider him a legend in the industry. He was very proud to be Harold Woolard, FCSI.

Harold was a hugh sports lover. His passion was coaching. He coached 8th grade girls basketball for Benicia Middle School from 1989-1991. He is known as the "Man for all Seasons". He supported all high school sports, especially in Benicia, California and Montgomery, Texas, where he is a lifetime member of the booster club and has held football season tickets to the Montgomery Bears for 14 years.

He is preceded in death by Ora Jane Woolard, wife of 38 years, his parents, Harold L. Woolard and Margret Woolard and sister, Carol Woolard McKay. He is survived by daughter, Terri Lynn Allen, son-in-law Wayne Allen of Montgomery, Texas; companion of 6 years, Elaine Montgomery, Montgomery, Texas; grandson, Ryan Sterling Allen of Montgomery, granddaughter, Bethany Hambrick of Denton, Texas; numerous family members and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14th from 5-8 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 20850 Eva St., Montgomery, Texas 77356. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery. Interment following at the New Montgomery Cemetery in Montgomery.
