It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Herman Wayne Baker, early Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015. He was a proud Grandpa with five grandchildren, whom he loved very much; as well as three grandson-in-laws and four great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Rice Baker; son Sam Baker & Wife Wynn Dee of Conroe, Texas; daughter Candy Emmerich & husband Stan of Magnolia, Texas; granddaughters Emily Leimer & husband Larry of Wimberley, Texas; Clair Silliman & husband Jim of Houston, Texas; Haley Green and husband Justin of Houston, Texas; Grandsons Eric Emmerich of Denver, Colorado & Evan Emmerich of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren Graham & Asher Silliman; Presley & Grayson Green.

Wayne most enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially at his family farm for holiday gatherings and quality time with his grandkids. He was also deeply involved with his church, First United Methodist of Conroe, where he and Ann also attended Beacon Sunday School.
