Imogene "Jean" Porter

Imogene (Jean) Porter of Conroe, 91, died Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born November 5, 1922 in Yoakum, Texas to the late George and Willie Boothe Morrow. Jean was a long time resident of Victoria for almost 40 years and a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church before moving to Conroe in 2000. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved spending time with her greatest loves, her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Marsha Porter of Conroe, Pamela Porter Conradi and husband E. Barton Conradi, Debra Porter Frye and husband Lloyd H. Frye, MD; three grandsons, Marshall Porter Cain and wife Erin, Edward Barton Conradi and wife Kristen, Charles Matthew Conradi; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one niece, LaPrelle Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Wilson Porter, and her two sisters, Marine Turnure, and Leticia Schmersahl.

Visitation will be held at RiverPointe Baptist Church, 700 Gladstell Rd, Friday, March 28, at 10:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Ministers Jimmy and Chrissie West officiating. A private burial will follow in Oakgrove Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas. McNutt Funeral Home, (936) 756-2724.
