The sun set on Jacquetta Yvette Hamilton of Conroe, Texas, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at age 37, after battling systemic Lupus for 13 years. She was born December 4, 1974, in Houston, Texas to Raymond and Lula M. Hamilton. She graduated from Conroe High School in 1993 and attended Prairie View A & M University. She earned a LVN degree from Montgomery County College in 1997 and was working toward an RN degree when she became ill. Jacquetta loved caring for kids and worked with various hospitals and nursing homes in the area while battlling her illness.

Jacquetta is survived by her daughter, Alexandria Victoria Young of Conroe, TX; her parents, Raymond and Lula Hamilton of Conroe, TX; sisters, Lalita Michele Hamilton of Washington, D.C. and Chiquita Hamilton of Conroe, TX; a brother Craig Hemphill of Clear Lake, TX; and numberous relatives, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, December 16,2011 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, TX 75948. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Thomas Johson Church of Christ at 840 Thomas Johnson Road, Hemphill, Texas, with Brother Frank Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Hemphill, Texas.
