James "Cotton" Cheshire, 85, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1927 in Deridder, LA to Jim and Myrtle Cheshire. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Cheshire. James is survived by his devoted companion Betty Rose; son Steve Roebuck and wife Connie; grandchildren Carly Roebuck Wiggins, Lisa Roebuck and Cam Roebuck; great-grandchildren Summer and Ella Wiggins and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Montgomery United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Cartwright Cemetery.

"Cotton" was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and horses but he also loved to dance. He was a retired Electrician from the IBEW Local # 716. In recent years he enjoyed volunteering for the food pantry. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Montgomery United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 22548 Hwy 105 West, Montgomery, P.O. Box 1330, Montgomery, Texas, 77356.
