The Guest Book is expired.

James (Jim) Hoke drifted off to be with the Lord on November 14, 2011. He is survived by his wife Molly, daughters Janelle Murray, Janette Miller, and Regina Coffman and husband Barry; son James Hoke and wife Brandi; brother Henry Hoke and wife Sherry; grandsons: Matthew Miller and wife Jenn, Michael Miller and wife Sarah, T.J. Murray, James Murray, William Murray, Sam Murray, Craig Coffman, Bryan Coffman, and James Hoke; granddaughters: Molly Miller, Morgan Miller, Rachel Coffman, Kenedee Hoke, and Kamryn Hoke; great grandchildren: Avery Miller, Ava Miller, Moli Kubiak, Milo Kubiak, and Madelyn Miller; and many other relatives.

Jim's family moved to New Caney in 1948 where he grew up, married, and raised his own family. He was a hard working man who loved spending time with his family. Jim was always in pursuit of growing the biggest and best tomatoes, as well as finding the best fishing hole. He led by example and was a hero to his children and grandchildren who referred to him as "Super Paw Paw." He was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a retired member of the IUOE Local 450. Jim maintained his sense of humor all the way to the end. He will be missed tremendously by those who loved him.

Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, November 18 from 6-8 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Funeral Services officiated by Rev. Floyd Hoke, will be held Saturday, November 19 at 10 AM at Bays Chapel United Methodist Church in Richards, with burial following service at Bays Chapel Cemetery. You are invited to leave a written condolence to the family on our website at www.shmfh.com.
